Orpyx® SI Sensory Insoles
Custom made for each individual patient, Orpyx® SI Sensory Insoles with remote patient monitoring are designed for the prevention of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). These lightweight insoles effortlessly capture plantar pressure, step count, hours of use, and plantar temperature throughout the day. They will provide you with real-time audiovisual alerts to enable you to take action to resolve high-pressure areas that may lead to tissue breakdown.
With the patient’s permission, the data collected by the insoles is monitored by Dr. Yakel and his team to identify trends and proactively make treatment decisions to help keep your feet healthy. Call us today at (720) 600-3380 to schedule an appointment to learn more.
Diabetic Foot Ulcer Statistics
- 25% of people with diabetes develop foot ulcers over their lifetime.
- 49% of foot ulcers recur within 12 months.
- 1 in 5 foot ulcers will result in lower limb amputation.
By preventing DFUs from recurring, we can help you to keep active!
Don’t Let Diabetes Knock You Off Your Feet
“Orpyx was founded out of a desire to help people with diabetes better manage their feet” Dr. Breanne Everett, CEO & President Orpyx
How Orpyx SI Sensory Insoles Work
The Orpyx SI Sensory Insole System comes with a pair of custom-made insoles, a digital display that is set up and ready to use out of the box, a charger, and the instruction manual.
Orpyx SI Sensory Insoles provide real-time feedback, enabling you to take immediate action when sustained high pressure is detected. This sustained high pressure can cause skin damage on the soles of the feet, which if left untreated could lead to foot ulcers, infections, and, in the worst-case scenario, amputations.
In a clinical study, the group that received pressure alerts was 71% less likely to re-ulcerate compared to the group that didn’t receive any instant feedback. And the sub-group that wore the insoles for at least 4.5 hours a day were 86% less likely to re-ulcerate.
